It’s been months since I first shared about that “kaleo”—the calling I sensed deep in my spirit to step into something more. Since then, the journey has been filled with prayer, reflection, and small steps of obedience. But nothing could have prepared me for how clearly God would affirm that calling.
I kept hearing it in my spirit: “Go back to school.”
To be honest, I wrestled with it.
Lord, why now? What purpose would this serve? Is this really You—or just me wanting more?
And then came the biggest obstacle in my mind: “God, how would I even afford it?”
I told Him plainly, “If this is truly You, then make a way. Provide. Make it free. And make it clear.”
And just like that, God answered. Not through a booming voice or a dramatic sign—but through a quiet, undeniable provision. I applied to Liberty University for their Master of Social Work program, still unsure how it would be covered. I stepped out just enough to show my faith, and then waited.
Right on time—not early, not late—we received a letter from the VA.
It said I was eligible to use my husband’s Chapter 35 educational benefits to fully cover my degree.
I couldn’t believe it.
I cried. I rejoiced. I stood in awe.
God didn’t just call me—He provided for the calling.
This wasn’t just a door opening. It was God flinging it wide and saying, “Walk through it. I’ve got you.”
What amazes me most is the timing. The letter came exactly when I needed clarity. It was as if God whispered again, “Daughter, I see you. I hear you. And I’m with you.”
This journey has reminded me of something I’ll never forget:
When God gives the vision, He also brings the provision.
This calling isn’t about a career move. It’s about aligning my gifts, my compassion, and my story with His purpose. I believe He’s calling me to walk with the broken, the overlooked, the hurting—to be a light in dark places, guided not by my strength, but by His.
So here I go, Lord.
Not because I have it all figured out.
Not because the path is easy.
But because You called. And You provided. And now, I will follow.
Isaiah 58:10 says:
“If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness…”
That’s the kind of life I want to live.
A Prayer of Provision
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for calling me, even when I didn’t feel ready.
Thank You for confirming that call through Your perfect timing and generous provision.
Help me never to forget that You are the God who provides—not just financially, but emotionally, spiritually, and practically.
As I step into this next season, give me peace, endurance, and faith.
May I serve others with the same love and faithfulness You’ve shown me.
May this journey be less about me and more about You.
I trust You, Lord. Lead the way.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
A Question for You
Have you ever stepped out in faith—unsure how it would all come together—only to watch God provide exactly what you needed?
💬 I’d love to hear how God showed up for you. Let’s encourage each other in our kaleo moments.
