The Night Before — A Step of Faith

God whispered this calling into my heart months ago. And now… here I am, standing at the edge of something brand new.

Tomorrow isn’t about stepping into a physical classroom—it’s about stepping into obedience, into purpose, and into a new season of becoming. Though I’ll be logging in from home, I know that God is already present—in every lesson, every quiet moment of study, every connection made, and every insight gained.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

That verse has never felt more alive to me. This isn’t just about earning a degree—it’s about preparing to walk more fully in the calling God has placed on my life. I believe He’s equipping me to serve His people in deeper, more intentional ways. This journey is His work, not just mine.

I don’t have all the answers. I’m nervous. It’s been 23 years since I was last in a classroom setting. But in the midst of the butterflies, there’s excitement. Peace. Expectation. I can feel it in my spirit—God is doing something. And I trust that what He has started, He will carry to completion.

He’s already gone before me.
He’s already provided.
And He’s not finished yet.

So here we go, Lord. I’m saying yes again.

A Prayer for the First Day

Lord,
As I prepare to begin this new chapter, settle my anxious heart.
Take away the fear of failure and replace it with a quiet confidence in You.
Thank You for opening this door and for Your perfect timing.
Let every moment of learning draw me closer to Your purpose for my life.
Remind me that even when I study in silence, I am never alone.
Use this online journey to shape me, stretch me, and prepare me to serve.
Let Your Spirit guide every step.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
